Dr. Keith Preston specializes in the treatment of surgical disorders of the brain, spine, and peripheral nervous system. He has a particular interest in the management of brain tumors and cerebrovascular disorders,including cerebral aneurysms and carotid disease. He has extensive training in complex spinal disorders and artificial disc surgery.

Dr. Preston attended medical school at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, based at Parkland Hospital in Dallas. He completed a general surgery internship and residency in neurological surgery at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. He has published peer reviewed journal articles and given presentations at national meetings on subjects including skull base surgery, pituitary gland surgery, cerebral vascular disorders, treatment of brain tumors, and spinal disc surgery. Currently, he maintains an active practice involving the complete spectrum of neurosurgical disease.

Establishing his current practice after serving in the United States Air Force at Wilford Hall Medical Center, Dr. Preston is very familiar with the San Antonio area and medical community. He is a rated Flight Surgeon and holds both airplane and helicopter flight instructor certification. Being a native Texan, he enjoys San Antonio and
is dedicated to providing quality neurosurgery care at various hospitals in the area.
